Short online consultations for parents

Do you need to talk through a difficulty you are observing in your child but don't know where to start? We offer short online consultations for parents, during which we look together at the issue you raise and think about which direction of action will be most helpful.
What does a consultation look like?
During the meeting, the psychologist:
- ✓gets to know the situation and the difficulty the parent is coming with,
- ✓asks questions that help better understand the situation,
- ✓helps identify the most important area for further work,
- ✓points out possible ways forward and specific things worth paying attention to in the child's day-to-day functioning,
- ✓if needed, recommends a further consultation, a diagnostic assessment or another form of support.
One family can use a maximum of two consultations under this offer.
The second meeting can be used to go deeper into the topic discussed, to review the parent's observations and to agree on the next steps.
Who is it for?
A consultation can be helpful, among other things, when a parent is wondering:
- →how to respond to their child's intense emotions,
- →how to support their child in difficulties with peers,
- →how to respond to behaviours that are difficult or confusing for them,
- →how to support their child's independence and sense of agency,
- →whether the observed difficulties require further consultation,
- →where to start, if the parent simply feels that "something is not right".
The consultation is an initial meeting for the parent. It does not include direct work with the child.
The consultation is not a psychological diagnosis, a psychological opinion or psychotherapy, and does not replace a full diagnostic or therapeutic process.
