Social Skills Training for Teenagers 15–17

A 10-session cycle for teenagers – identity, relationships, emotions and the courage to be yourself in a world full of pressure.

Social Skills Training for Teenagers 15–17

Social skills training for teenagers is more than learning to cooperate in a group and respect others' opinions. This period has its own rules and is very important for identity formation – right now, young people need to feel that they belong somewhere, but also that they have a place where they can build themselves. Not necessarily from scratch, but more like replacing parts or reshaping what's already there. We are polishing diamonds – a challenging but deeply worthwhile journey.

Session topics:

  1. 1Who am I really? – How do others see me, and how do I see myself? Social roles, masks.
  2. 2What matters most to me? Values – why do I need them, and do I actually live by them?
  3. 3Can I control my emotions? – Self-regulation, maturity. Is it okay to feel different things?
  4. 4Communication – can we talk even about difficult topics? How? Who can I talk to, and why does it matter?
  5. 5Boundaries and assertiveness – where are my limits, when do I bend to others' will, can I say "no" without guilt?
  6. 6Conflicts and arguments – repairing relationships. How to resolve conflicts, apologise, take responsibility? When to fight and when to let go?
  7. 7Peer pressure – is it okay to be yourself? Pressure on social media, making different choices from the majority.
  8. 8Self-worth vs. comparison – inner critic, impostor syndrome, self-acceptance.
  9. 9Romantic relationships – love? Is it even possible? What does it involve? Red and green flags.
  10. 10Me vs. the future – do I have to know who I want to be? What kind of adult do I want to become? Can relationships shape my future?
